FIND (Film is not dead) Charleston

I signed up for FIND Charleston to learn more about the technicalities of film, how to meter, bulb in, bulb out, kodak or fuji, Contax vs Hasselblad. What I took away from FIND was so much more than that. Yes, I left a better film photographer than when I came,  and I now have more head knowledge for shooting film that I came to learn, but I also left with a renewed love for my profession. A revival of why I do what I do, motivation to explore life and slow down, and freeze a fraction of a second of time on a little roll of paper. I left a part of a family of people (all amazing photographers), who rallied around each other to spend an entire week learning about not only film, but each others lives. I left with a new sense of business, new goals, and a new appreciation and desire for film photography.  If you have any desire to shoot film, have only started shooting film, have been shooting film your whole life, or just want to spend some time with some rad people, I highly recommend signing up for this workshop.  I can’t thank Jonathan enough for not only teaching, but also befriending us.

To everyone at FIND Charleston, you are family, you took Rachel & I in and loved us well when we needed it the most. We will forever be thankful for the days we spent under the same roof with you and look forward to spending more time with each of you in the future.
